Read ArticleBy understanding the eco-system, taking stock on the varying technology stacks, as well as gaining a sound understanding of all technical factors, we can accelerate delivery by presenting observations of a system's actors and where opportunities for continuous improvement may lie. These are my brass-tacks tricks to achieve results with team, without always leaning on an ivory-tower.
Discovery is paramount. Through proactive research, introductions, and empathetic conversations, we establish opportunities to discover what challenges exist and collaboratively explore design solutions.
Big picture definition. Still residing in some unknowns, it is critical at this phase, to develop visuals that promote a continued dialogue and with the intent to promote not only a plan, but a strong ~80% direction.
Put a bow on it. Continuous iteration and alignment for audience-specific consumption. Visual storytelling for leaders, persistent alignment with cross-functional partners, and expectation setting for direct UX team members.
My foundations in design are a culmination of experiences from hundreds of client interactions as well as a continued learning & dedication to practice leadership. While experience & design are my backbone, I also have a strong passion in witnessing the fruition of team-centric collaboration, developing partnerships, and seeing design translation into reality.
The true currency for me here is empathy and building relationships through trust.

Highly skilled and trained in creative development tools. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, Storybook, Miro, Mural, InVision & Marvel prototyping platforms, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
I love working on the front-end and seeing my design take shape. I'm not a programmer, but I have years under my belt in developing polished front-end solutions. HTML, all forms of CSS compilations, and javascript basics are the matchstick for design translation.
